 What is Server? | How many types of servers?

The server is a computer program or a device that provides functionality for another device, or clients, this architecture  is called server

 

In programming model server is a program which, Accepts and respond request made by another request made by another program, is called client.

Why are they used for

Servers are used to manage network resources, like the example:-  A client may set up a server to control & access a network, host a  website or blog. They are also performing some  servers are committed to a species so they referred the dedicated server
